HOW TO ENROLL A NEW STUDENT
Go to www.IUSD.org/enroll to begin the enrollment process.
- Contact our office from 7:30am-3:30pm to schedule an appointment or ask for assistance.
- Gather proof of IUSD residency and health requirements prior to your appointment.
2 ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS (CU and WP)
- Culverdale Elementary and Westpark Elementary enroll students from a single attendance area.
- When one school reaches maximum capacity in a grade level, new students will be enrolled at the other school.
- Westpark operates on a year-round calendar from July to June.
- Culverdale operates on the August-June traditional calendar.
- Both schools:
- are funded and operate as a Title 1 school.
- have on-site Child Care Programs.
- provide instruction for GATE-identified students.
- provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports.
- provide services for an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
- prioritize student development and a positive, safe school climate through Restorative Practices, a school-wide PBIS program, and a full-time Resource Counselor.
- have a Parent Teacher Association (PTA), a School Site Council (SSC), and an English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) that are comprised of parent volunteers and staff members.
- When one school reaches maximum capacity in a grade level, new students will be enrolled at the other school.
Culverdale offers a special program based on IEP placement:
- "Essentials" Special Education classes, IUSD grades Pre-K to 6
Westpark offers a special program for qualifying 4th-6th grade IUSD applicants:
NEW PK and KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS
- More info for parents of PK kindergarten students can be found here.
- Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten are half-day programs in IUSD.
- Class preference (AM or PM) is granted in order of completed enrollment.
- When the AM class is full, students will be placed in the PM class... and vice versa.
