HOW TO ENROLL A NEW STUDENT
Go to www.IUSD.org/enroll to begin the enrollment process.
- Contact our office from 7:30am-3:30pm to schedule an appointment or ask for assistance.
- Gather proof of IUSD residency and health requirements prior to your appointment.
- Culverdale Elementary and Westpark Elementary nurture all students in a vast attendance area.
- Westpark operates on a year-round calendar, and Culverdale operates on the August-June calendar.
- When one school reaches maximum capacity in a grade level, new students will be enrolled at the other school.
- Both schools provide differentiated instruction for GATE-identified students.
- Both schools provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports for students, based on data and observation.
- Both schools provide support for students who have an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Both schools nurture student development through Restorative Practices, a school-wide PBIS program, and a full-time Resource Counselor.
- Both schools have an on-site Child Care Program as an option, for a fee.
- Both schools have a Parent Teacher Association (PTA) and a joint School Site Council (SSC) / English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) that are comprised of parent volunteers and staff members.
- As of 2021-2022, both schools qualify as a Title 1 school.
- Culverdale offers two special programs for qualifying students:
- English Learner "ELD Newcomer" classes in grades Kinder to 6
- "Specialized Academic Instruction" Special Education classes in grades Pre-K to 6
- Westpark offers a special program for qualifying students:
- "Advanced Placement of Academically Accelerated Students" (APAAS) in grades 4-6
NEW KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS

- Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten are half-day programs in IUSD.
- Class preference (AM or PM) is granted in order of completed enrollment.
- When the AM class is full, students will be placed in the PM class... and vice versa.
